You Will Need - Serves 4
Tomato - 1 large sliced
Tamarind - lemon size soaked in water to remove juice
Rasam Powder - 3 tsp
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves - pinched handful
3 cups Water
Salt
Green Chillies - 1 chopped
Tuvar Dal - 1/4 cup
Coriander Leaves - 3 tbsp
Cook Dal with water until very soft (cool and smash). Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, green chillies and tomatoes. Fry till tomatoes are cooked. Add rasam powder, curry leaves, tamarind juice and water (if required). Bring to a boil Add salt and the dhal paste Mix well. Add water if required to bring to a soup consistency. Boil and garnish with coriander seeds.
